Mehki is a coyote hybrid, who was the only female in her litter, and also the eldest of such. Her father was an arctic wolf, and her mother was a coyote slave (in some logical sense), and was forced to get rid of her only daughter once she was able to at least fend for herself. Around her fifth month of age, her mother chased her away from their home, and threatened to kill her if she returned. Thus, our little hybrid child has turned up at Depravity Peak where she was discovered by Hollis, and he offered her refuge within Dawning Hollow.
